Healing Together: An Affinity space for BIPOC Individuals to Explore Identity, Accountability & Empowerment
Wednesday October 23, 2024 10:30am - 11:45am EDT
This session welcomes attendees who identify as Black, Indigenous, and or People of Color (BIPOC) to learn from a panel of diverse professionals as they share how their identities influence their pathways in life. Attendees and panelist will explore what it takes to actualize authenticity, wellness, and resiliency in their lives and careers. This interactive session offers an opportunity to connect, build community, and share experiences and perspectives in a way that honors our unique journeys.

While we deeply appreciate all allies and those who support BIPOC communities, this space is intended exclusively for those who identify as BIPOC (non-White). Our aim is to provide a space where participants can feel completely safe and understood based on shared cultural experiences. We encourage our non-BIPOC friends and supporters to explore other ways of showing solidarity and allyship, and we’re happy to suggest spaces where those conversations can happen. Thank you for understanding and for your continued support. Together, we will work towards innovating supportive spaces.

Making it Make Sense: Crafting a Case for Support That Makes Fundraising a Breeze
Wednesday October 23, 2024 4:00pm - 5:15pm EDT
Fundraising is daunting, and working with survivors in so many multi-faceted ways can be hard to explain. Creating a case for support that is simple and engaging is key!   In this session Adam and Julie will teach you how to build a simple case for support you can use to unify your storytelling, find the most compelling asks for your organization, and aid your fundraising efforts—whether it is grant writing, individual giving, or a gala event!   Your case for support will make it all make sense.   This will be a working session. You will leave with a product you can use. Adam and Julie will workshop your case for support with you!    Whatever stage you are in with regards to fundraising, this session is for you. Drilling down on what you do, why you matter, and how others can help is essential.   You’ll walk away with a simple case for support. It will help your community see the meaningful difference they can make with a gift to your organization… and it gets more donors to give.
