About me
Amy Blackett is the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Resource Prosecutor at the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council (IPAC). In this role, Amy serves as a resource for prosecutors all over the state who have questions about their domestic violence and sexual assault cases. She helps train them in trial skills, legal, and practical strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes with their cases. Amy co-chairs the Indiana Statewide Sexual Assault Response Team, and serves as a member of the Indiana Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team and the Domestic Violence Advisory Council. Prior to joining IPAC in 2019, Amy was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Marion County for over 10 years. There, she litigated sex crimes, child abuse, domestic violence, burglary, drug cases and more. Amy earned her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2009 after receiving her undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Indiana University in 2006. Amy's husband is a federal prosecutor, and together they live in Hamilton County with their two daughters and two cats.
