About me
Candra Ramsey is a dedicated advocate for families and children, currently serving as the Program Director at the Richmond location of A Better Way Services, Inc. A proud native of Wayne County, Indiana, Candra graduated from Hagerstown Jr./Sr. High School before earning her degree in Human Services from Purdue University. With a deep-rooted passion for supporting Indiana’s families, she has spent over 15 years advancing child and family services across the state.
In her role at A Better Way Services, Inc., Candra spearheaded the development of a mobile advocacy program, reflecting her commitment to accessible and effective support for families facing domestic violence and/or sexual abuse. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Candra is actively involved in her local community, serving on several boards including Birth to Five and Good News Habitat for Humanity Inc. Her dedication extends to supporting community helpers through being a part of Eli Lilly Endowment Scholarship – The Journey Fellowship.
Candra’s personal life mirrors her professional commitment. She enjoys raising her family in the local area, frequenting farmers markets, exploring small shops, attending local events, gardening, running, and traveling. Her unwavering passion for Indiana’s children and families continues to drive her both within and beyond her role as Program Director.
