Jessica Marcum Jacobs is a Ball State University graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She’s been a staff member of Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence since 2008. While employed at the Coalition, Jessica also had the opportunity to provide direct service to survivors through her work as a part-time advocate at the protective order pro bono project and Alternatives Inc. a residential domestic violence program located in Madison County. In her current role at the Coalition, Jessica is responsible for numerous activities that support the Coalition’s mission to eliminate domestic violence. Her activities include:
- Managing ICADV’s state and federal grant awards, including proposal writing, fiscal reporting, and progress reporting
- Providing training, support, crisis intervention, and technical assistance on behalf of programs and Hoosier survivors.
- Working in partnership with Indiana’s 50 residential and non-residential domestic violence programs to ensure that survivors are receiving comprehensive and quality programming, rooted in national best-practice models;
- Collaborating with federal, state, and local funders; housing authorities; and mental health services to ensure that the needs of survivors and providers are being met.
- Engaging and responding to the needs of ICADVs 125+ member programs/individuals.
Jessica is married to her partner Matt and is a mom to Olivia and Hailee. She loves music, animals, and spending time outside.
