About me
Annie Sholty has been with Coburn Place in various roles since July of 2022, first as a Well-Being Advocate and later as the Resident Care Coordinator over the Transitional Housing Program. Transitional Housing at Coburn Place has flourished during this time, solidifying Coburn’s trauma-informed leasing and policy creation while ensuring equity and inclusivity in our intake and resident retention processes. Annie’s prior experience as a Service Coordinator for a major local property management company highlighted the desperate need for more safe, affordable housing options in Indianapolis. The intersection of housing instability and domestic violence has always been near and dear to her heart. With over 10 years of experience in social service, Annie is a passionate advocate for those belonging to minority or otherwise stereotyped communities experiencing the intersectionality of DV and houselessness. Annie is inspired and motivated daily by her three daughters. In her free time, Annie enjoys traveling, spending time in nature, and caring for her rescue animals.
